we bought a set of these in white. within six months we asked for a replacement for one as the in-line switch was defective. we received a replacement. the other original now has a problem with the in-line switch. these lights look good in our bedroom, have good halogen for reading, but have not been mechanically reliable in light of the problem with the in-line switch, which, of course, renders the entire unit worthless. we would not buy this product again, and this is unfortunate as it is very difficult to find decent task lighting for reading in bed.
