I got these to furnish a post industrial space with raw brick and a lot of vents, pipes etc on the ceiling. I changed the wiring to cotton covered wire to keep the vintage look and they look awesome and authentic, yet clean and modern.
They are made of a better material than Ikea stuff and for a comparable price, there is no reason to go with a lesser product.
