great looking, pain to install

Although I love the way they look in the room, these lights were a royal pain to install. Some of them came with complete installation kits, while others came with only some of the required screws. Two of my nine had no decorative screw caps enclosed, so I had to improvise their installation.

Each light arrives in the box with a cord installed - but since I was hard-wiring, I had to detach the cord for each unit. Also, be warned, the wiring is really cheap and flimsy (we are not talking copper wire here) and thus will get all tangled up if you screw and unscrew the wire cap more than once.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

exactly what i was looking for

I purchased three of these to use as accent lights on a wall of bookcases. The electricians hard wired them with a dimmer switch while our house was under construction. The base is small enough that they fit perfectly at the top of the alcove for the bookcases.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have two of these spot lights in my living room. They are directed toward the ceiling and provide great mood lighting. They are usually the only lights I have on. I do not think they would provide enough light for reading unless they were positioned directly above your chair and pointed at your book.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
